Terms of Use
These Terms govern your access to and use of homedone.com.au (the “Site”), operated by Webwise Pty Ltd (“Home Done”, “we”, “us”). By using the Site you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. What Home Done is — and isn’t
Home Done is an information directory and marketplace that helps homeowners discover and connect with trades and home-service businesses (“Businesses”).
- We are not a party to any contract, quote, booking or work arranged between a homeowner and a Business. Any agreement is solely between those parties.
- We do not perform the services, supervise the work, or guarantee any Business’s availability, pricing, licensing, insurance, quality, conduct or outcomes.
- Listings, ratings, reviews and aggregated insights are provided for information only.
2. Listings and content
- Some listings are compiled from publicly available information and licensed data providers, and may appear before a Business has engaged with us.
- We take reasonable steps toward accuracy but do not warrant that listing information, ratings, review summaries, availability or pricing are complete, current or error-free.
- A Business may claim, correct or request removal of its listing — see our Listing Claim & Removal Policy.
- You should always verify a Business’s credentials, licensing and insurance independently before engaging them.
3. Reviews and aggregated insights
Ratings and review content are sourced from public and third-party sources. Where we summarise reviews into themes, those summaries are informational, are drawn from multiple reviews rather than a single comment, and do not represent our opinion of any Business. We do not author reviews, and we do not change a Business’s rating in exchange for payment.
4. Using the Site
You agree to use the Site lawfully and, in particular, not to:
- scrape, harvest or bulk-extract data from the Site;
- misuse contact details obtained through the Site;
- post false, misleading, defamatory or unlawful content;
- impersonate any person or business; or
- interfere with or attempt to disrupt the Site’s operation or security.
5. Businesses, memberships and leads
Businesses that claim a listing or purchase a membership, leads or advertising are subject to the applicable plan terms covering subscriptions, lead delivery, billing and cancellation, which are presented at the time of sign-up or purchase. Listing fees, membership fees and lead fees are described on our pricing pages.
6. Intellectual property
The Site, its design, and our original content are owned by or licensed to us and are protected by law. You may not copy, reproduce or reuse them except as permitted by law or with our written consent.
7. Disclaimers and consumer rights
The Site and its content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude all representations and warranties not expressly set out in these Terms.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you may have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where our liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, our liability is limited to the extent permitted by law.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the Site, from any listing or content, or from any dealing or contract between you and a Business — including the quality, safety, timeliness or outcome of any work. You engage Businesses at your own risk and should exercise your own judgement.
9. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify us against claims, loss or damage arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Site.
10. Privacy
Our handling of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy.
11. Changes and governing law
We may update these Terms from time to time; the current version is always available at homedone.com.au/terms. These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and you submit to the courts of that jurisdiction.
