Kens Plumbing Plus - Hervey Bay
A long-running Hervey Bay plumbing store where proactive staff members stand out for following through when customers need specialist product help.
The clearest pattern across both reviews is that individual staff members who take personal initiative (a younger team member going out of his way to help, a counter team described as genuinely caring) leave customers feeling looked after, while experiences vary depending on who you deal with at the front counter. With so little data, the wisest move is to call ahead, confirm what products are on display, and ask to speak with someone familiar with the specific item you need — that simple step should sidestep the variability both reviewers encountered.

About Kens Plumbing Plus - Hervey Bay
Ken's Plumbing Plus in Pialba operates as more than a trade service — it functions partly as a retail showroom and supply store, stocking plumbing products including bathroom vanities, PVC fittings, and related fixtures that customers can browse in person. With roughly 23 years in operation, Ken's appears to serve both trade and DIY customers who need to source specific plumbing products locally rather than order online or travel to larger centres. The Hervey Bay location is connected to a Maryborough branch, suggesting a small regional network where staff can refer customers between stores depending on stock availability. Front-counter service has produced mixed experiences, with at least one customer finding a younger staff member particularly helpful for going out of his way to take details and follow up, even when he wasn't familiar with a product — worth knowing if you need specialist product advice. If you're sourcing specific items like PVC bathroom vanities, calling ahead to confirm stock is displayed in the showroom before making the trip will save time. Best approached as a local plumbing supply and trade resource for the Fraser Coast region rather than purely a callout service.
Best for: sourcing specific plumbing fixtures and fittings locally, comparing bathroom vanity options in a physical showroom, and trade or DIY customers needing a Fraser Coast supplier with a Maryborough network to cross-reference stock.

Does Ken's Plumbing Plus in Hervey Bay operate as a store or a trade service?+
Based on the reviews and business listing, Ken's Plumbing Plus operates primarily as a plumbing supply store and showroom in Pialba, where customers can browse and purchase products including bathroom vanities and PVC fittings. It's connected to a Maryborough branch, so stock may vary between locations. If you're looking for a specific product like a PVC bathroom vanity, calling ahead to check what's on display is worthwhile before making the trip. Whether they also offer trade callout services isn't confirmed by the available reviews.
What products can I find in the Ken's Plumbing Plus showroom?+
Reviews mention bathroom vanities — including PVC options — and general plumbing products as being available in or near the showroom. The Maryborough branch referred a customer specifically to the Hervey Bay store for a potentially larger range of PVC bathroom vanities, suggesting the two locations stock different ranges. It's worth confirming by phone whether a specific product is on display before visiting, as stock may differ between branches.
What do customers say about pricing at Ken's Plumbing Plus Hervey Bay?+
One customer specifically called out pricing as a positive, describing it as 'great.' That said, this comes from only 1 of 2 available reviews, so it's a single data point rather than a confirmed pattern. No reviews mention pricing being a concern. It's reasonable to ask for a quote or price check when you call ahead.
Is Ken's Plumbing Plus Hervey Bay good for someone who doesn't know exactly what they need?+
Results appear to vary depending on who serves you. One reviewer had a positive experience where the team took time to help them find exactly what they needed. Another found that a front-counter staff member wasn't forthcoming with product guidance, though a younger team member stepped in, took their contact details, and arranged a follow-up call from a salesperson. If you're uncertain about what you need, asking specifically to speak with a product specialist or salesperson from the outset seems to be the most reliable approach.
Does Ken's Plumbing Plus have a branch in Maryborough as well?+
Yes — a customer review specifically mentions being referred from the Maryborough branch to the Hervey Bay store, confirming the two locations are linked. Staff between branches appear to communicate about stock availability. If the Hervey Bay store can't help with what you need, it may be worth checking what the Maryborough branch carries.
